Department of Marketing

The Department of Marketing, established in 1996, has a multi-level education system which includes bachelor, master and PhD degree programs. The department aims to train engaged and high-level talents in both academic and professional areas. And it offers genuine courses and activities for students to gain academic excellence and attain professional competence.

The department strives to conduct influential research and contributes to the field of marketing in China and around the world. It has undertaken and completed 14 state-level research projects sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education, 3 international cooperation projects as well as other state- and provincial-level projects. With a strong research input, the faculty members in the department have published papers in key international journals such as Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Industrial Marketing Management, International Business Review, and Journal of Consumer Marketing. In 2009, the department successfully hosted the JMS China Marketing Science Annual Conference and a Doctoral Forum. All of these help to enhance the department’s popularity, enlarge its influence, and narrow the gap with well-known international peers.
