Founded in 2003, Research Center of Entrepreneurial Management (RCEM) is widely considered as one of the most influential centers of entrepreneurship in China and its mission is to advance the understanding and practice of innovation and entrepreneurship through expanding the frontiers of academic thought and influencing business practice.

As a research center, RCEM's focus is to conduct research, publish articles and develop teaching materials on entrepreneurship and innovation. The main research area of RCEM consists of new venture creation and business growth, technological entrepreneurship and innovation, intra entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial decision making and entrepreneurial psychology, as well as entrepreneurial network.

RCEM has taken upon several significant research projects requested by National Natural Science Foundation and Education Ministry of China. Meanwhile, many high quality papers have been published in SSCI journals such as Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice, etc, as well as CSSCI A -level journals.

RCEM's goal is to make the research on entrepreneurship and innovation as externally connected as we can, to identify important ideas and share them with interested parties. Many distinguished scholars, such as Gary Bruton, Paul Reynolds, Scott Shane, Li Haiyang, have visited RCEM and cooperated with us in research and teaching.

Funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, RCEM sponsored Chinese Panel Study of Entrepreneurial Dynamics (CPSED) research program in China since 2008, which is a transnational cooperation project with 9 countries' participation. CPSED is designed to enhance scientific understanding of the new venture creation process and entrepreneurial activities in China.
